We have had a fantastic time during Arts Week! Our theme was the Olympic Games and we chose Hungary, New Zealand and Kenya as our three countries to represent. We designed and made our own Olympic Mascots and Stadiums. We looked at traditional Hungarian Folk Art and painted
our own designs onto plates using ceramic paints. Each pupil designed a sporty outfit for an athlete to wear – we think they look great! We also made mosaic flags, marbled and designed medals and postcards.
The Year 4 children also looked at the Haka, the dance performed by the New Zealand rugby team at the beginning of their matches. They came up with their own unique version and gave a performance at the opening of the exhibition.
