To mark the European Day of Languages this year we held a ‘French Day’ on Friday 24th September. Children were allowed to come to school in non-uniform, wearing red, white and blue to represent the colours of the French flag. The day included activities with a French theme and the children were given the opportunity to taste croissants on the day.
On the day our school dinner hall was transformed into a French style cafe and the menu was translated in to French. We had :

- filet de saumon aux miettes de pain avec pommes de terre cuites au four (salmon with [potatoes),
- le Choix végétarien – pâtes aux tomates avec pain à l’ail de la maison (homemade vegetable pasta),
- tous servis avec légumes de saison ou slade (vegetables and salad),
- pomme de terre cuite au four (jacket potato),
- Sandwichs (sandwiches),
- gêlé de fruit et glace à la vanille (ice cream with fruit),
- Fruit frais (fruit),
- yaourt (yoghurt),
