Key stage one beat the flood challenge Yesterday we were given the challenge of building a house to beat a flood.  So we spent the day experimenting with materials to find out wether they are waterproof or not.  Then we designed and built houseshouses in groups.  Finally we tested them.  We had lots of fun and made lots of mess trying to beat the flood!

Year 1 & 2 had lots of fun at Alnwick Gardens Today we went to Alnwick Gardens where we visited Santa and had hot chocolate with him. Some of us even got to play in his sleigh! We had a story with Buddy McJingles the elf and decorated some yummy biscuits.  We loved looking around the gardens and getting lost in the maze!
