Key Stage One News Welcome back!
Welcome to year 1 and 2! We hope you have all had a lovely summer and are ready to work hard this year.

Year 1’s topic this half term is ‘Location, Location, Location’. For this we will look at our local environment, the landmarks, maps, features of a city and a village.

School Games Bronze Kitemark Award  

As a result of a year’s hard work from all the children and staff we were thrilled to achieve the School Games Bronze Kitemark Award!

 

To achieve this the school has actively engaged all children in two hours PE a week as well as encouraging them to participate in extra-curricular sports clubs, including basketball, football, dancing and more.

Excellent Behaviour Rewards Day

Excellent Behaviour Rewards Day Congratulations to all children who took part in the 'Excellent Behaviour' rewards day on Friday 11th July 2014. All year groups from Year 1 to Year 6, had the opportunity to take part in the dance mats.

The feedback from the day was excellent and many children have enquired about using the dance mats for their own event or party!

Beat The Goalie Results

Beat The Goalie Results Congratulations to the 62 children who participated in this year's 'Beat the Goalie' competition. Thank you to everyone as we have raised £569 towards the new outdoor play equipment. The school champion was Aidan Joyce from Year 6, who received an Adidas World Cup football and medal,  The winner from each year group was as follows:-

Sports Day 2014 – Key Stage 1

Sports Day 2014 – Key Stage 1 The weather was perfect for our School Sports Day on Friday 27th June 2014.

Key Stage 1 children took part in 6 different multi-skills activities. Children were split into teams who competed against each other to win medals.  The events were the obstacle course, ladder run, ball pass relay, bunny hop, weave and stack and the hurdle jump.[gallery orderby="rand"]

The results were:-

Purple 1053, Red 1052, Yellow 967, Green 877, Orange 868 and Blue 862.

All children enjoyed the event, which was competitive and purple team won by just 1 p
