Wonderful Maths Stories! World Maths Day was on the 6th March and in school we celebrated in style! All of the children had their SUMDOG logins and our 5 top scorers received certificates in assembly today. Well done to Damien, Jack Joe, Jack, Harry and John. What a great achievement for our school. The SUMDOG logins still work now that the event has finished and children can log in at www.sumdog.com

On the day of World Maths day, every class explored a maths story and got involved in literacy and maths activities all morning linked to the book. During the afternoon, many parents c

Redesdale News 1.2.2013 Parent Participation
Thank you to all parents who came to see their child’s teacher this week. The attendance at such evenings has really increased over the last few years and this really helps to ensure parents are kept informed and provides the opportunity for information to be shared about home as well as school.

Thank you also for the responses to our school meals survey. The school council will be sharing these with the local authority’s catering services managers and once we get their responses we will share all the information with you. We were very grateful fo

We were even brave enough to take part in a lesson with a very strict teacher! Take a look at some of our photos below![gallery order="DESC" columns="4" orderby="rand"]

World Maths Day It is World Maths Day on Wednesday the 6th March 2013. In school we are going to be celebrating this by exploring different maths story books. Throughout the morning all children across the school will be taking part in activities based around a maths story.

During the afternoon, those parents and children who returned their forms will have the opportunity to read some of these books together and to make their very own maths story book for us to display in school.

As well as this, we will be encouraging the children to go on Mathletics even more often and really c

Redesdale News 8.2.2013 Star Footballers!
On Saturday 2nd February Mr Smith took our under 11 boys team to the Northumberland Schools County Cup finals and won!

Whilst our school takes part in the rounds leading to this event every year they have never been so successful. The team was a mixture of Year 6 and Year 5 boys and Mr Smith and Mr Graham were very proud of them as they took on teams of all Year 6 children.

We now have a new trophy for school which has been won by a middle school team for the last four years.

Well done boys and Mr Smith!
