In maths we have been looking at rotational symmetry we have been rotating the shapes in 45 , 90 and 180 degrees. We are starting to prepare for our SATs we have been revising hard to get ready for them.
In English we have just finished writing our own stories behind constellations. Mine was about a toad named Gerry. He was extremely nosy and adventurous. He even thought an oven was a tanning machine and he exploded!!

In year 3/4 we have been planning our year 3 4 open afternoon about our Journeys topic. The afternoon is happening today! All of year 3-4 have been working so hard to do a fantastic display and make some lovely products .Some of our mams and dads will be coming to the open afternoon.
Yr 4 have been doing some directions in maths. There is north,west,south,east,north east,north west,south west and south east.

In maths, this morning, we were looking at time differences from all around the world. I learned that France is a full hour ahead of us.
In English we are still looking at sentence structures and other grammar marks like a semi colon ; and a colon : We are trying to make our sentences better for our SATs.
In R:E we are looking at Religious beliefs to do with Easter and Palm Sunday. We had a taste of some hot cross buns. Palm Sunday is about the day Jesus and his Disciples taught people. A palm leaf is meant to be good luck.

In Year 4 we have been looking at endangered animals. Some of us got information for our endangered animal that we had to put into our report. We also included headings,sub-headings,diagrams and lots of facts.
On Friday we created 3D habitats. The habitats were sea,woodland,jungle,desert and arctic.
In Yr 4 we did algebra today and did the grid method and number lines to help us solve the number sentences.
Yesterday Yr 3/4 made our own snake wreathes.

Hello we have a new member called Jack. I am very funny and 8 years old.
We have been practising how to skip for the skipping festival at Burnside. We learnt of different skills like the cross over, the butterfly, double bounce and face to face.
On Friday it was very muddy, however we were allowed to go on the field and search for some different animal's habitats. We found lots of habitats like water,woodland,sky and underground.
We went on Google Earth and we found our houses. We also looked at where we wanted to go.

This week in yr 5 we have started to look at performing poetry. We have done this in literacy. One of them was called 'Granny can you rap?' It was funny .
In maths we have been doing some work on quadrilaterals.

Hello. Today in maths we have been learning about solving problems like division, multiplication and subtraction .
Also in English we have been doing about a man that in the 17 hundreds. the poem is called the Highwayman. He used to steal jewellery from different people. In those days they had horses to travel around but they did not feed them so that they would run faster.
In ICT we have been doing Sumo paint. This is a a program about painting back rounds for aliens. These aliens are all good and we also had to create planets and UFO's .

Hello I'm Bailey the year 5 blogger
This week in year 5 we have been doing some tests. some maths and some literacy. We have also received our ntlp passwords . In class we paper mached balloons which we are going to paint to create planets .
Just to let you know next week yr 5/6 are having a Halloween disco on Thursday 25th October. Also on Friday 19th October. we can come in as our hero because its Heroes day. On Monday 22nd for yr 5/6 boys football club after school won't be on.
