A Victorian Afternoon in Year One.

A Victorian Afternoon in Year One. Further to our trip to Beamish parents and carers were invited into school for our open Victorian afternoon. There was a range of activities for everyone to join in including making a pet doll and spinning toy, taking the interactive Victorian quiz, using the slate boards for maths and writing, dressing up in Victorian outfits, playing with old toys, creating William Morris designs, completing sorting activities and more.

Fire, fire! Reception have had a visit from the Wallsend fire brigade this morning. They showed us all the equipment on the truck, we got to sit in it and try the water hose. We loved it! Thank you for coming in!

A Victorian Day out at Beamish for Year One.

A Victorian Day out at Beamish for Year One. Year one enjoyed a windy Victorian day at Beamish on Wednesday 13th March 2019. The skies remained dry and the children loved the experiences throughout the day. We started our fun filled day with a lesson at the Victorian school. The children got to take part in writing on blackboards with slates, pin boards for maths and reciting a poem. After that, we went for a stroll down the mine. Despite some children expressing they were scared, they all chose to go descend the mine and loved the

DigiLadies Project Day

DigiLadies Project Day Our Year 6 DigiLadies enjoyed a project day with Laura Dickinson from North Tyneside Learning Trust.  Their first project was to code the Spheros to create some sphero art.  In the afternoon they coded the chorus to a song ready to have a Dash Dance Off.

Year 5 – DT Project Year 5 have been learning all about Earth and Space in Science.  After a visit to the Planetarium at the Centre for Life, they were inspired to create star constellations using back stitch.  Their work has turned out great.
