After School Enrichment Clubs – Autumn 1

Foundation Stage
September 9th, 2017

Enrolment forms are emailed out to parents each half term to inform them of the enrichments clubs which are available after school. Children are informed in assembly what clubs are available to them.

Each half term the clubs change and throughout the year Ambassadors in school will be involved in running clubs too.

Enrolment for Autumn 2 clubs will take place during the last week of the half term.

Summer Fair Fun

Reception Talent Show

Reception children enjoyed showing their skills at our talent show today. Our acts included singing and dance shows for Frozen - Let it go, Who Let the Dogs Out, Gummy Bears, Eye of The Tiger, Ghostbusters, Ballet dancing to Beauty and the Beast, Gymnastics moves, Football Skills, a Magic Show, playing the piano, A Pirate You Shall Be dance and the Ants Go Marching One By One.

The children were all so excited and did an amazing job. We are so proud of them all! Well done Reception.

Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers 2017

A massive thank you to everyone for your support collecting the Sainsbury's Active Kids vouchers for 2017.

We have collected our highest total of 6,518 vouchers.

An order will be placed for new equipment in school including tennis nets and tennis balls, stop watches and jumbo magnifying glasses.

Year 1’s River Art

This morning, Year 1 created their own pieces of art based on the River Tyne. They painted their river backgrounds, then cut out and glued their own boats on top. A lot of excellent artwork Year 1, well done!

Year 3 had another great session with Matchfit today. We learnt about food groups and what is healthy and unhealthy. We also had a great workout to help us to stay fit.

We had a very successful coffee afternoon for Key Stage Two families to come and enjoy.  The children spent all week baking treats for the afternoon and they were a sell out!

FORPS Family Pyjama Fun Night

Thank you to all of the families who were able to attend our Family Pyjama Fun Night.  It was a very busy event but successful in raising funds for FORPS.  The money generated from FORPS events goes back into school to support class activities and support for costs of educational visits etc.
