On Thursday we had a team of people in to do a Show Racism The Red card workshop. We learned how different kinds of racism is used and how it can effect people. We did a fitness fun activity where we had to kick a ball off a bench.
Yesterday year 6 went on a school trip to Safety Works where we did lots of activities related to being safe in common places. We did a fire escape plan if ever we need to use it. In the A&E department we learned how to deliver CPR and help somebody if they're choking. We learned how to put someone in the recovery position.
On Wednesday 6th February we joined in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record by singing and signing the song 'sign2sing'. At 2:45pm schools across the world took part in this fantastic event to raise awareness of the organisation Sign Health who help vulnerable deaf children and adults have a better life. We expect to find out within a few weeks if the World Record was achieved and we will keep you updated. May I also take this opportunity to thank you for your donations.[gallery columns="4" orderby="rand"]Read More »
Year 3 & 4 had their Christmas party this afternoon. There was lots of dancing going on as well as some great games. We had to make a tower of Rolos using only one hand as fast as we could. We played pass the parcel, corners and musical statues. We also played the balloon game, passing the ballon backwards and forwards and trying to be the first team to burst the balloon.
It was great fun! Have a look at our photos below.[gallery columns="4" orderby="rand"]
