Redesdale’s Eco-Club have been busy!

Our eco-club were selcted last term to take part in a new ‘Growing Together’ project which involves several schools in Wallsend and Howdon. Our aim is to gain the views of all children in school to develop areas of our outdoor environment.

This project follows on from our audit of the school woodland area, the cutting back of brambles in this area to allow children to go and explore, and also the successful Switch On Switch Off campaign that we organised last term.

We are also working with our school council to develop more projects in school and members of eco-club are responsible for collecting the Walk to School sheets and handing out badges.

Today we sent home a newsletter and questionnaire, developed by our old and new members of the club who represent Reception to year 6, and we would like everyone to complete the questionnaire and return it to school on Monday 20th February.
