The Nursery children have had great fun this week....we found some dinosaur footprints in our garden! This led to some fantastic discussion about what kind of dinosaur it was and where it had gone! The children made a lookout station and spotted some nests in the trees...we are all on the lookout for Pterodactyls! Some children chose to draw what they thought the dinosaur looked like and some thought it was hiding in the shed! A great start to our new topic.
Our Trek to Tokyo campaign is up and running with 18 weeks to complete the 8,816 miles to Tokyo from Redesdale Primary School, which is equivalent of 61,712 laps of the yard.
Every class has a target to help us achieve this over the 18 weeks until the end of the Summer Term before the Olympics games in the Summer Holidays.
All classes will have the opportunity for children to complete their laps at least three times a week plus they can top up extra laps with our Primary Leaders at lunch times.
Reception have the target of 2 laps, three times a week
