Welcome from the Headteacher
It is a great honour to welcome you to our school as I take up the role of Headteacher at the start of the Summer Term 2025–26. Having served as Deputy Headteacher here for the past ten years, I feel incredibly proud to lead a community I know so well and care deeply about. Together, we will continue to build on our many strengths, including our 2023 Ofsted judgement of Good, which reflects the dedication of our staff, pupils and families.
At the heart of our school is a commitment to spark and nourish a love of learning. We strive to create an environment where children feel inspired, confident and supported to try new things. We want every pupil to enjoy learning, even when it challenges them, developing independence, resilience and a belief in their own potential.
We also place great importance on enriching learning with real-life experiences. Children learn best through doing, exploring and engaging with the world around them. Whether through hands-on activities, visits or meaningful classroom experiences, we aim to make learning memorable and relevant.
Another key priority is to develop lifelong communicators. We encourage pupils to express their ideas clearly, ask questions with confidence and listen carefully to others. Strong communication skills are essential for both academic success and positive relationships.
Finally, we are committed to fostering emotionally intelligent individuals. We want our pupils to feel valued, understood and supported as they grow in self-awareness, empathy and emotional resilience—skills that prepare them for future success in all aspects of life.
I am excited about the journey ahead and look forward to working in partnership with you all.
