Our School

Growing and learning together

Welcome to Redesdale Primary School.

We would like to wish you a very warm welcome to Redesdale Primary School. My name is Mrs Tracy Flannaghan and I am very proud to be the Headteacher of Redesdale Primary School.

Our priority is Tracythat all pupils feel valued as individuals and are active participants in the learning community of Redesdale Primary School to enrich their life skills and experiences. Redesdale was recognised as ‘a Good’ school by OFSTED (January 2018) and we are very proud of our reputation as a warm and welcoming family school.

We have high expectations of our children and set challenging yet realistic targets for them.  Every child is encouraged to reach their full potential and we recognise that every child is special and has their own contribution to make.

The Staff at Redesdale are dedicated, hardworking and experienced.  We provide a safe, calm and caring environment in school and we foster a hardworking ethos based on an enjoyment of learning. We expect a great deal from our children and they do not disappoint us.

We have a very positive partnership with our parents and community and we have a very supportive and active Parents’ Association, the Friends of Redesale Primary School (FORPS), School Council, Ambassadors and Governing Body. We look forward to including you in our partnership and being a part of our community.

The Staff and Governors are continually seeking the views of parents, carers and visitors to our School. We recognise that parents play an important role in the education of their children and as such we welcome your support and co-operation in making your child’s time at Redesdale Primary School enjoyable. We encourage parents and carers to discuss any concerns or issues with us.

All members of the Staff and I will value discussing any aspect of your child’s education and general welfare.
