You are invited to enrol for Autumn 2 After School Enrichment Clubs from Monday 23rd October. The deadline for applications is Friday 27th October 2023. All parents have been emailed with the enrolment form and can you can get a paper copy of the form from the school office.

Enrolment forms for after school enrichment clubs have been emailed out to parents for Autumn 1. We have 14 clubs running this half term with clubs running for all year groups from Year 1 to Year 6. Paper copies of the enrolment form are available from the school office. Enrolment starts from Monday 11th September and will close on Friday 18th September 2023.

Redesdale are PROUD to announce that we have achieved the School Games Award Gold Award for the Academic Year 2022-23 (Our third Gold in a row). Our achievements this year include:-
89% of all children from Year 1 to Year 6 attend after school enrichment clubs.
98% of children attend clubs at school or out of school.
63 after school enrichment clubs have been run by staff and 6 by third-party providers. Over 4,500 places have been provided (up from 3,600 places last year). The variety of clubs ran has been diverse and we would like to thank our staf
Foundation Stage
Year 1 have been designing and making bridges for three hedgehogs to cross safely. The bridges must be 40cm wide and be a freestanding structure. The bridge must hold the weight of the hedgehogs without falling over or collapsing. Our engineers (the children) will test and modify their bridges to ensure they pass the project brief.
All bridges are after our first afternoon of building. The testing and modifications will take place next week. We will will then review the project and get feedback.
Foundation Stage
Year one visited St. Mary’s lighthouse where we explored the rock-pools and caught many different sea creatures. We then learned about the history of the island and lighthouse. Then we ventured up the 137 steps to the to the top of the lighthouse for some amazing views. Finally, we walked back along the causeway to the beach for some creative beach art. A massive thank you to all our parent helpers and to our children who represented Redesdale so well. We received so many positive comments from staff and visitors about your polite manners and behaviour!
Foundation Stage
Year one have been into the woodland to use natural materials to create Art inspired by Flora and Fauna. Children looked in the area for materials they could use to create pictures on wooden circles.
This work has to celebrate all our drawings and different representations we have completed during Summer 1 term.

Key Stage One
The Great Fire of Redesdale Primary!
Year 2 have enjoyed learning about The Great Fire of London. We designed wooden doors, wrote a set of instructions and today we watched as our houses burnt down in a matter of minutes! The children were able to talk about their senses in preparation for their next piece of writing.
