Year 4 Goalden Shot

A great afternoon taking part in the Goaldn shot with the Newcastle United Foundation. Some very impressive skills from Y4 children... Not so much from their teacher!

Reception children visited Newcastle's Better Extreme Trampoline park having great fun jousting, bouncing high and low, playing dodgeball, walking across the balance beam and much more.
Thank you to all our parent helpers for their support and we look forward to our next trip.
The Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers scheme launched on 25th January 2017. We are collecting vouchers again this year for school. Please help us to collect as many vouchers as possible so we can order equipment for school at break times.
This year there are three ways to collect; in Sainsbury's Supermarkets and online at sainsburys.co.uk you'll be given one voucher for every £10 you spend, and in Sainsbury's Local stores you'll get one voucher for every £5 you spend.
Our collection box is just outside the school office or hand your vouchers into the office.<

This half term, Y4 are learning all about dance in PE. We decided to choreograph a dance to our favourite class song. We have been thinking about , paired, group and independent dancing, incorporating a range of dance techniques.
So far so good!
Reception children have explored moving like fireworks, creating high and low movements, adjusting their speed and finding space.
Congratulations to our boys under 11's football team who have won the Danone Cup. Eight local schools took part with Redesdale winning their group. In the final against Western Primary School, our boys conceded an early goal but remained calm and composed playing some excellent football. Kai Smith score the equaliser to take the game to extra time. After hitting the post and creating some excellent opportunities, Charlie Paterson was then brought down in the penalty box to give Redesdale a penalty. He then regained his composure to take the penalty and score the winning goal.

Well done to Millie Fenton and Thomas Jeffrey in Year 6 who achieved Gold in the ESAA badge.
Year 4 had a messy start to International week using mod roc to make tribal masks with our focus on Kenya. We will paint them later in the week.
We also worked with Churchill Community College to create a dance linked to our International Week.
