Reception have been making the most of the nice weather. An afternoon of den building. The children worked together to make dens using a variety of materials. We predicted then tested the materials to see which material would keep us dry.
Year 1 had lots of fun decorating eggs.
Year 1 had a fantastic time going back in the past at Beamish. They certainly looked the part in their Victorian outfits.
Today Key Stage One had lots of fun in the snow! We love snowy days!
Yesterday we celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as our favourite characters. There was a great effort put in the costumes, the children all looked fab! Throughout the day we looked at Paddington Bear books and carried out work based on them. We write book reviews, character descriptions, wrote lists of things for Paddington to pack in his case, made a passport just like Paddington, found out about Peru as Paddington is from the rend lots more. Take a look at our day below.
We showed our support for Children In Need with a sporty dance morning. The children loved (and so did the staff!).
Reception Diamonds have enjoyed exploring for signs of nature during our Nature Walk. We then shared our findings and discussed what we found.
Enrolment forms are emailed out to parents each half term to inform them of the enrichments clubs which are available after school. Children are informed in assembly what clubs are available to them.
Each half term the clubs change and throughout the year Ambassadors in school will be involved in running clubs too.
Enrolment for Autumn 2 clubs will take place during the last week of the half term.
