Year 1 had a brilliant day programming robots and controlling machines. They instructed remote control cars and blue bots, experimented with Zounds; a interactive music device. They saw a Sphero (a remote control ball) in action and created robots using cubelets.
Y4 have been using Kahoot to complete quizzes in Topic and Science to show prior knowledge before we begin our learning journey. It's a Kahoot!
Reception children loved being stars in their own video today when Oliver's dad visited class to show them how to make a video as he does with his job. It was great fun to be stars and then to watch ourselves back on screen.
Future stars in the making, well done Reception.
Reception children all dressed up and made funny faces for Comic Relief. Well done everyone!
All the children have designed their own funny face noses, decorated a funny face cake and modelled a funny face. We have also looked at the results of our Coca Cola coin experiment and used a UFO ball to show an electric circuit works with a switch.
Today we had Mr Brown in school who set us some computing challenges using robots. We had to program it on the laptops and then test the program out on the carpet. Lots of debugging was needed!
