Last week we had great fun making a scarecrow for an exciting competition we are entering. Here are a few photographs of a group of Key Stage One children helping to make our scarecrow.

During STEM week, Year 6 were trying out their skills in engineering with this Mystery Bag challenge! Pupils designed, created and tested their pom pom launchers that they made.
All the children have designed their own funny face noses, decorated a funny face cake and modelled a funny face. We have also looked at the results of our Coca Cola coin experiment and used a UFO ball to show an electric circuit works with a switch.
Today we had Mr Brown in school who set us some computing challenges using robots. We had to program it on the laptops and then test the program out on the carpet. Lots of debugging was needed!
Yesterday, after a visit from an architect, Year 6 had to put their architecture and engineering skills to the test to build the tallest and strongest structure just using spaghetti and marshmallows!
There were some innovative designs and great ideas about how to make the structure strong and also how to create their own glue using marshmallows. Things got very sticky!
